salt water
inlet to the Pacific
Coast . If you
enjoy classic

Oldies" car show, or perhaps you'd enjoy the Valley
Drag Races
and car show held later in
August. Enjoy a walk through
nearby Cathedral Grove,
home to
massive old growth cedar and fir
trees-some of which are 800 years old!
Parksville and
Qualicum Beach
are lovely places to enjoy the salt
water beaches and attend the
yearly Canadian
Open Sand Sculpture
Competition. Explore the extensive back roads in
the area by participating in
the local ATV
